IGA MIKULSKA

zajmuje się malarstwem i grafiką. Tworzy obrazy, grafiki komputerowe oraz ilustracje. W 2001 r. ukończyła Wydział Artystyczny na UMCS w Lublinie. Dyplom z malarstwa obroniła w pracowni prof. Adama Styki pod kierunkiem Tomasza Zawadzkiego. Po studiach zajmowała się głównie malarstwem. W 2008 r. otrzymała wyróżnienie w konkursie „Autograf”, organizowanym przez ZPAP w Lublinie. Do działań malarskich z czasem dołączyła grafikę komputerową. Jej prace graficzne oparte są na podziale tworzącym dwa obrazy opowiadające wspólną historię. Bardzo dużą wagę przykłada do koloru oraz prostych form, które tworzą graficzne kompozycje.

Nagrody:

2008 r. - „Autograf” na Zamku lubelskim - wyróżnienie za obraz „Widziałam kotka”

2011 r. - otrzymała drugą nagrodę w Ogólnopolskim Konkursie Grafiki im. Ludwiga Meidnera.

Iga Mikulska (born in 1977) graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Maria Curie-Sklodowska in Lublin, Poland, in 2001. She produces  mainly digital prints and paintings. Both paintings and graphics are based on the division of images. Painting is a set of pictures, which are specific artistic clichés holding ‘random’ moments of everyday life. Some of them are locked in an uncomplicated story, and some others simply show fleeting instants of stories being told elsewhere. The prints are composed of only two representations, however with more symbolic and profoundly rooted references. In all works, great importance is attached to the color and simple but suggestive forms.
